Abstract
This article is about the discussion of mutual commonalities of Urdu Ghazal and Modern Poem with regards to Socio-political topics. Therefore, in this article national thinking combination of Urdu Ghazal and Modern Poem is found simultaneously. Socio-political topics are creation of modern era. Modern society has not only brought socio-political awareness but also awakened the people about their rights and responsibilities. Hence, Urdu poets included these socio-political thoughts into their poetry. Several poets had inculcated these thoughts into Urdu Ghazal and Modern Poem with the help of English Literature. These thoughts have also been reflected in Urdu literatrue with reference to the freedom fight of 1857. Therefore, literature of any era may be the true reflection of socio-political issues.
