Abstract
Shamsur Rahman Farooqui is well known critic, a scholar, a
short story writer, a novelist and a literary personas editor of
manifold journal: "shab-khoon". In this article, I discussed
about historical, cultural narrative and intertextual approaches
and aspects of Farooqui's novel: "Kai chaand thy Sar-eAasman". In this novel war for freedom in 1857 is not only a
war against colonisers but also a war against decayed society
and the main character of the novel is not only an afflicted
woman but also a rebel who stands against a whole
civilization and male dominated society.
