Abstract
Abdullah Hussain is a remarkable Urdu novelist who masterly
portrays the spectrum of humain and social life in his novels.
We can see the external context and the internal world of the
characters as well. Nostalgia is a remarkable phenomenon of
human psychology. Its significant depiction can be witnessed
in modern fiction. This study attempts to define nostalgia and
distinguish it from ordinary memories of past. It also attempts
analyze nostalgic elements dwpicted in the novels of Abdullah
Hussain in particular.
