Abstract
This article uses evidence to establish the importance of letter in reshaping the
generally known history.
Since letter is a private and concealed form of communication, the writer does
not hesitate in sharing even much guarded secrets. When such letters, especially
those written to or written by prominent names in history, were divulged, they
revealed new and shocking information. Whilst some information gained from
these letters offered the missing clues of the history, others, completely
challenged the known series of events.
This essay talks about such letters and presents instances where the secrets
revealed from letters altered the known course of history.
