Abstract
Iqbal Started his poetry by adopting Urdu genre "Ghazil": in early stage he also
adopted the genre "Poem".
Iqbals first poem was "Falahe-qaom" second was "Nala-e-Yateem" and third
poem was "Yateem ka Khitab-Hilale Eid Se" But Iqbal selected the Poem
"Himala" as first poem in his first book " Bang-e-Dara".What were the motives
behind this change. In this article the changes in sepuence of poem numbering is
analyzed. It discusses the causes of not incorporating these poems in his books.
