Abstract
Atlaf Husain Hali is a legend literary person. He is a bridge between
traditional and modern literature. He expressed not only the modern
sensibility but also opted the immortal aspects of tradition in his
criticism and creative writings. He negated the oblique elements of
conservatism and emphasised to adopt the commendable aspects of
the modern literature. He has manifested this trend in his criticism as
well as in his poetry. His creations (both in criticism and poetry) are an
asset for the Urdu literature. This article has highlighted the same
wisdom of Hali.
