Abstract
Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali (1837---1914) was not only a renowned
poet and critic but he was a kind mentor as well. He trained his juniors to
serve their Nation with zeal and zest. Maulana Zafar Ali Khan (1873---1956)
was an admirer and follower of Maulana Hali in his literary pursuits. This
article deals with their relations and discovers unfolded aspects of both
great literary figures. Some rare letters of Maulana Hali and a poem in
praise of Zafar Ali Khan are also presented here.
