Abstract
Moulana Altaf Hussain Hali and Shibli Naumani are legends of
Urdu literature . They earned a lot of respect in different aspects of creative
work like criticism, biography and poetry. In this research article, their
poetry is analyzed in optimistic perspective.
Moulana Altaf Hussain Hali is one of the pioneers of new style in
Urdu poetry and prose. He introduced many reforms in Urdu literature
through his optimistic poems like Mussadas-e-Hali known as" Maddo
Jazr-e-Islam "Nishat-e-Ummed" or "Tohfatul Akhwan".
Shibli Naumani also belongs to the modern school of Urdu Poetry. He
devoted major part of his life to literary pursuits. One of his outstanding
achievements was his well-known poem "Subh-e-Umeed'' pervading
optimism and concluding with the forecast of bright future for Islam. His
poems like "Gadayane Qoum", "Qaseeda-e-Urdu" are some other examples
of his optimistic poetry
