Abstract
The research is a detaled study of israiliat (Israelites references) and its use in 'Punjab Talmihat' (reference to some past event or story in one's writing) by Punjabi classical poets. These 'Talmihat' are from holy books other than Quran. These are also from religions other than islam 'Talmih' being a part of construction, having a large story behind may be used in prose or poetry.
