Islam is the last and latest revealed religion which is for all times and for all places till the Day of Judgment. So it has the adjustability to every kind of complex circumstances. Beside the Holy Quran, the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) explains every aspect of life. Because the Prophet(PBUH) not only focused on religious activities rather provided guidelines for every occasion and condition related to every person of society. The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) provided guidelines for governing a state and relations of states with each others. Currently it is felt necessary to study these guidelines from the holy life of the prophet (PBUH) which shows us how to govern a state and how to treat the subjects, governors, as well as foreigners. This article focuses on the treatment of foreign delegations to the holy prophet (PBUH) which came for different issues. Many foreign delegations came to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) after the Conquest of Makkah i.e. in 9thAH, which is called a’am-ul-wufood (the year of delegations). This will be a charter/guideline for a Muslim State how to treat foreign delegations.
