Educational Aids used by the Prophet peace be upon him: an analytical study
Abstract
There is no doubt that the use of teaching aids is the most
important means of modern teaching methodologies. We see that
Almighty Allah has encouraged us to use the teaching aids when
He mentioned the "pen" as a model teaching aid in the first
revelation on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Prophet’s (PBUH)
hadiths are replete with the mention of his use of teaching aids
while teaching his companions on various occasions. Most of
these aids are: indicating by hand and fingers, using the inanimate
objects, writing and painting on the ground, using real materials
and other things. I have prepared this article to present some
important methods used by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to teach
the companions and call the people to the right way with wisdom
as well as to identify some important findings that may help us in delivering the information and getting complete success in the
field of education.
