Abstract

The research criticizes and analyzes the efforts made by
linguists to specifically define terminology، and it discusses the
syntactic terms included in the chapter of followers in Ibn Jenni’s
“Al Lam’u fi Al Arabiya” and Ibn Siraj’s “Al Usul fi Al Nahw”، then
such terms are examined by the good term conditions which are
set by terminologists. The research concluded that popular terms
cannot be changed even if they do not comply with the good term
conditions However، Ibn Jenni and Ibn Siraj have used synonym
syntactic terms although they lack the good term conditions
