Abstract
Right to free and compulsory education is the basic
norm of international human rights law. It has been recognized
in major instruments of human rights and states are required to
provide free and secondary education. In Pakistan this right
was recognized in 2010 and provinces are now bound to
provide free and compulsory education at secondary level,
which is the subject of this paper in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
