Ismailianism and Iqbal

Abstract
Allama Muhammad Iqbal (1877-1938) is a prominent figure of the modern Muslim world. He contributed in the fields of Theology, Philosophy, Mysticism and Wisdom poetry. He was a political activist and practical political philosopher. His poetical and prose work is in English, Persian and Urdu Languages. His work has been translated in all live languages of the world. In his poetic and prose work he discussed more than seven hundred personalities and movements of the world in their historical, political, intellectual and socio-culture perspectives. Ismailianism is a movement which emerged on Muslim religio-intellectual horizon in 8th century. There are number of opinions about Ismailiansim. Unfortunately the approach of thinkers about Ismailianism is more or less biased. Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal has discussed Ismailianism in his both poetic and prose work. What is the approach of Allama Iqbal about this movement? This is the subject of this article.
