Abstract
The article presented, discuses an issue of Islamic theology & jurisprudence pertaining to the issue of "permissibility of transferring rewards of one's deeds & practices to a fellow Muslim, deceased or alive" in the light of Ahadith. The writer elaborates that it is permitted in the light of the sayings and traditions of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), for a Muslim to convey the rewards of his good deeds to a deceased or alive Muslim fellow in the shape of prayers, fasting, recitation of holy Qur'an, etcetera. In this regard the writer also mentions insightful references from the life of the companions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Furthermore, the writer also mentions the views of Islamic scholars on the above mentioned issue. According to a majority of the jurists and scholars, it is permissible in the light of Islamic theology and practice. Detailed views of four famous jurists of Islamic fiqh and jurisprudence on the subject are also present along with their arguments.
