Abstract
This article is about Narrations of interpretation in the history of Damascus compared to the books of interpretation with the Hadith. It has been tried to discuss the methodology of Ibn-e-A’sakir in narrations of interpretation from his book of history of Damascus and then compare with the narrations of interpretation in the books of interpretation with the Hadith. The purpose of this work is to know that how much Ibn-e-A’sakir agrees and disagrees as a interpreter with others or as Muhadith. First his interpretation of Quran by Quran has been discussed in this article and then Interpretation of Quran by hadith of Prophet (SAW). Thirdly his interpretation of Quran by the sayings of the companions of Prophet (SAW) and fourthly by the sayings of Tab’een was highlighted in this article. Ibn-e-A’sakir also made reasons of revelation of Quran based for interpretation of Quran. He also quoted narrations in the high virtue of parts and verses of Quran. He brought narrations related to belief, fiqh and first and last verses of Quran. It has been also strived to compare the narrations of interpretation of Tafseer Ibn-e-Kasir with the book of history of Ibn-e-A’sakir. And in the end of this article results have been deducted.
