Abstract
Tappa is an ancient, pragmatic and simplest genre of Pashto folk literature. Having of a very
few words, it hold a complete and concise meaning. Comprised these feature; tappa is
recognize one of the unique genre of Pashto folk literature. Tappa carries modest place being
a genre and yet to come for critics point of view very little. In reality, these two lines are as
extensive and in their form and style as they are in meaning and essence. This paper is an
academic endeavor to highlight the numerous style and form of tappa which have not been
introduced in the light of authentic and reliable sources.
