Abstract
Adaptation of Novels on TV screens is observed in all over
the world. Same is with Urdu Novels. On Pakistani TV
Channels adaptation of Urdu Novels is being practiced from
beginning of TV industry in Pakistan. In this regard PTV and
other Private TV channels are making contributions for
promotion of Urdu Novel. Here is discussion on adaptation of
Urdu novels “Mirat-Ul-Uroos” by Deputy Nazeer Ahmad,
“Khuda ki Basti” and “Jangloos” by Shoukat Siddiqi,
“Nashaib” (Novelet) by Abdullah Hussain, “Shehzori”
(Novelet) by Mirza Azeem Baig Chugtai and “Pagli” by
Shoukat Thanvi
