Abstract
Translation is a way to bridge the gap of linguistic and cultural differences not only
between two languages but two nations and two civilizations.Biography and sketch
writing are almost same genres of non fiction.Translation from english to Urdu has
always been affected by many factors.Function of non fiction to provide information in
a literary style.Translators have gone under pressures when translating from english
to Urdu but commercial translators and publishing industry have made translation a
mockery.some examples of poor or mistranslation are qouted in this artical.
