Abstract
Dr. Anees Nagi (1939-2010) was known as a celebrated researcher, critic,
fiction writer, poet, translator and column writer. He was a well-read and
knowledgeable person. His vast study of the modern French philosophical
writers, poets and critics like Jean Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Arthur Rimbaud,
John Perse gave a philosophical taste to his writings. He was genuinely
considered as a modernistic writer and his fiction reflects most of the modern
theories and ideas. His fiction focuses human life, ideas, emotions and
psychological approach of a common man of society. This article is an attempt
to study the psychological consciousness in Anees Nagi's fiction.
