Abstract
Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi was a 13th-century Muslim poet,
Islamic scholar and Sufi mystic. Rumi's influence transcends national
borders and ethnic divisions. Many people around the world have greatly
appreciated his spiritual legacy for the past seven centuries. His poems have
been widely translated into many of the world's languages and transposed
into various formats. According to the recent research by the writer there
are 17 prose translations and 14 verse translations of the Mathnavi-eMa'nawi in Urdu language. Qazi- Sajjad- Hussain has translated
Mathnavi-e- Ma'nawi s' complete 6 volumes for the first time in Urdu prose.
