Abstract
Islam was revealed in the vast desert of Arabia and spread all over the
world. Due to the wide spread it couldn't avoid the touch of different
religions. After Holy Prophet (SAW) different logical discussions about
Islam started and simple thought become complicated and different sects
came in to being. In 2nd and 3rd century mysticism emerged on a pretext to
find true faith and affected its basic teachings of Islam even further.
Mysticism is a wage term. It seems near to transcendentalism. However in
Hindustan Islam was spread due to the mystics who came with the Muslim
invaders. They presented the teachings of Islam in terms of Hindu
mythology since they were more influenced by Hindi thought. This article
is about those Hindi elements which we can see in Islamic mysticism.
