Abstract
Akhtar ul Iman's poetry simultaneously deals with the truths of the
identity and the social realities.This is why at times his poems reflect the
human emotions and at other times they portray the psychological conflict
of a man residing in the modern age. Akhtar ul Iman's protagonists are
aware of their crisis. However, they fail to defend themselves. This leads to
a sense of isolation andsense of longing for the past.
