Abstract
Story (Daastaan) is a literary genre whose characters are always
illusory and imaginative. The story is woven creating elements of surprise
and interest by using mostly unreal elements. It has been read and heard
over centuries with eagerness as love for story is implanted in human
nature.
In every language, nation and culture of the world it has been popular
and continued to add to the volume of literature. In Chinese literature
throughout its history it has enjoyed popularity. The four stories which are
of special significance in ancient Chinese literature "Teen Sultnatoun ki
kahani" is one of them. Famous Pakistani ambassador and litterateur has
successfully translated in Urdu language. The article under review presents
analytical study of this story.
