Abstract
Moulana Hali,s elegies are swarmmed with best literary traits. His
poetry expresses the real spirt of literature.He gives the obligatory
precedents along with the literary taste.He deduces the pathoes of heart in
such a way that the actual era of his own comes before our eyes.His elegic
poetry brought a revoulution with respect to islamic thought.Great
specimens of his elegic poetry are Ghalib,s elegry and Hakim Mehmod
Khan,s elegry.In these elegies, we find the past era as well as the deep
interpretation of meanings in a delibrate manner. Hali,s elegies are the
trumas which are the effects of his creative power .Here his pathoes is
not his own enigma but it comes the national pathoes collectively.
