Gardens and forests protect environment
and make it pleasant. Everyone in the world
belonging to any culture or civilization like
gardens and orchards.Muslims have always been
fond of gardens.
Adam (PBUH) first abode was in a
garden and he loved it so much that he had made
a plan in his mind that he would stay there
forever. According to Islam, a Muslim’s last and
final life would also be in a garden i.e. the
heaven. The art of gardening has historical
status in the Indo-Pak subcontinent. The Mughal
rulers had special likening with gardening. They
established lush and huge gardens during their
rule on subcontinent. People from all over the
world still visit them in large numbers to see
their magnificence and grandeur.
Some of them are very famous like
Shalimar Gardens, Badami Gardens, Bagh-eNaseem, Bagh-e-Nishat, Angoori Bagh and
Lakhi Bagh. Mughal ruler Babur was so much
fond of gardens that he even wished to be buried
in the Chahar Bagh of Kabul after his death.
Through this article, I would like to enlighten the
readers about the importance of gardening in
Islam as a source earning rewards and this
research article will also help in creatingawareness among the people about tree
plantation.
