The importance of Hadîth study is well
known as Hadîth is the base of understanding alQur’an. And most Islamic laws are based on it.
Understanding the Sunnah, and differentiating
between the true, and authentic Hadîth from
others, are based on the knowledge of
classification of Hadîth.
Madâris around the world have played
an important role in the development of Hadîth
sciences.
There is deep interest in innovation and
most important in all areas of life. And
innovation in religion is required by the Shari'ah
as our holy Prophet (PBUH) said: [Allah (SWT)
will send to this nation at the end of each century
to renew its religion]1.
As we need innovation and development
in all areas of life, we are also in urgent need for
development and progress in Hadîth studies in
our Madâris according to the requirements of
this era and contemporary teaching methods to
improve its quality to the best level and achieve
our objectives.
Islamic law has features and qualities
that enable it to meet the renewable
humanitarian needs with passing time and
different place and human evolution.
There are immense possibilities for greater and
wider-spread change with the use of present-day
technological advancements, as well as with the implementation of innovative educational
programs.
The challenge is to ensure that
innovation plays a constructive role in improving
educational opportunities for billions of people
who remain under-served in a rapidly
developing world.
We should use modern technology, new
and modern methods to improve our Education
quality to the best level and achieve our goals,
especially in Hadîth studies as we are in urgent
need for innovation and development Hadîth
studies in our Madâris according to the
requirements of this era and
contemporary challenges.
A model methodology of teaching and a
new syllabus of Hadîth studies is required, which
must be compatible with the contemporary needs
of this era. Modern technology and techniques
can be helpful in achieving this goal of Hadîth
studies.
