Mufti Muhammad Shafi (1897- 1974) is
famous religious scholar and has remarkable
contribution in the field of tafseer. Tafseer
Ma,arif ul Quran ) is his well known classical
commentary of the Quran written in Urdu .
Seventeen Ahadith in sura Taha which
are quoted by Mufti Muhammad Shafi in Tafseer
Ma,arif ul Quran are selected by researcher.
The main theme of this research is to is
to analyze the ahadith to determine the
sahih ("authentic"), hasan ("good") and da،if
(weak).Therefore it is necessary to examine both
elements of hadith , sanad(،chain، of the
narrators)and matn(the wording of hadith ).
