Abstract
The research is aimed to find out the impact of CPEC on socio economic aspect of life over the local
people of Gwadar. Keeping into consideration the transition of the region, the study has been conducted
in light of Modernization Theory in connection with its historical background and socio economic
conditions as well. The pre and post modernization life standards with its accessibility to resources and
facilities have been put into consideration. With the advant of modernization individual’s access to basic
facilities is certain and this is a burning question that whether the local people agree to have improved
their living standards and access to the basic facilities or not. The research method is on quantitative
pattern in order to reach the people’s perceptions regarding the development. Findings showed that
some agree with positive impacts while some call it have negative impact over social life of locality.
