Abstract
Sir SayyadAhamad Khan and his movement of Aligarh have been the target of
many allegations. One particular School of thought accused him of being a
stooge of the English whereas the rival School exonerated him and his
movement of all such charges. Time also proved the stance and the statement of
the latter group. As a matter of fact, this perception is quite reasonable and
stands proven that Sir Sayyad Ahmad Khan was a leader in the true sense with
remarkable foresight. He perceived that imperial forces could only be tackled
intellectually, not physically and history stands witness that most of the leaders
who steered the Pakistan movement were from Aligarh Movement. This article
thus argues for Sir Sayyad's vision.
