تلخیص
This article reviews the tremendous contribution
of Pakistani Muslim scholars and religious schools
in inhancement of Sunnah studies. Starting with
brief introduction of Sunnah the article has been
discussed commendable efforts of Muslim scholars
in developing Sunnah studies since the early stages
of Islamic history as it has been highlighted the
history of Sunnah in sub-continent region generally
and in Pakistan specifically. In reference to the
emergence of movements denied the importance and
authenticity of Sunnah, the article also covered the
significance of focused studies and work of Muslim
scholars in introducing and defending the second
source of Shariah.
It is also worth-mentioning that the Islamic
research Centers, Universities, Religious Schools,
Publication Houses, Sunnah Movements played
leading role in development of Hadith and Sunnah
studies and its sciences. Despite of some drawbacks
Pakistani Muslim scholars has a significant role in
serving Sunnah of holy Prophet Muhammad pbuh.
