h of Rhetoric; it is the mental process of cognition which
assists a speaker to create appropriate style of speech
according to circumstances. It is the most important chapter of
Trope (المجاز .(The Trope has been divided into two kinds;
Linguistic Trope and Mental Trope. The Great Scholar and
Literary Theorist Abd Al-Qahir Al-Jurjani has named the upper
mentioned last kind as "the Equivalent Trope" (الحكمى المجاز . ( AlZamakhshari was much influenced by The Great Scholar and
Literary Theorist Abd Al-Qahir Al-Jurjani since he
implemented whatever Abd Al-Qahir Al-Jurjani pointed out in
his book “Arguments of Miracles” and he has also added some
new aspect of Rhetoric in his exegesis Al-Kashshaf.
In this article, I shed light on the additional work of AlZamakhshariin the particular area of Trope and I widely
discussed the unique and distinguished rhetorical inventions of
Al-Zamakhshariin The Knowledge of Eloquence and its
branches, including Mental Trope, and Metaphor. I have
discussed the new terminology of Al-Zamakhshari which is
called the “Trope in the metonymy”. He was in dire need of
creation of this terminology because of his Itezali(اعتزالى (thought.
He analyzed the Quranic verses rationally in the shadow of this
terminology.
At end of this article i have made efforts to derive the
best possible findings for the readers of Quranic Rhetoric.
